Your Concern: "I am afraid that my pet will not be comfortable, and will not sleep while we are away."
Law's Country Kennel does an excellent job of providing your pet with a safe and comfortable "Home Away from Home" . We recommend bringing anything that has the familiar smells of home on it. Popular items include washable beds, bedding, a t-shirt, and/or a couple of toys. Also, feel free to pick up a box of your pet's favorite treats. We would be happy to hand them out to him or her.
Also creating comfort ability to our boarders is the climate controlled buildings and our spacious kennel runs. Your pet at Law's Country Kennel has the ability to sprawl out, and allow our fully heated and air conditioned facility to provide it with a comfortable sleeping environment.
Law's Country Kennel is a very active and social environment during the day. Its boarders have no trouble taking both naps after lunch, and receiving quality sleep at night. Before leaving at night, night lights are left on and classical music is left playing for a more relaxed atmosphere.
Your Concern: "I am afraid that my pet will not eat while we are gone."
Over the years, we have found that each pet's eating habits are very different from each other. Some may eat their food quickly, choose to take random bites throughout the day, or may cover their food with their blanket.
At Law's Country Kennel, we pay particular attention to how well your pet is eating. Eating is an indication that they are adjusting to us. You are more than welcome to bring your pet's own food, and we can prepare any type of provided meal. We recommend bringing your own food, especially if you feel that your pet may either not eat, is on a special diet, or may have a sensitive stomach to any change. Also, we can feed as often as you would like, remaining as close to the feeding schedule your pet is accustomed to.
Depending on the personality of the boarder, it normally takes a day or two before your pet adjusts to kenneling. By that time, eating becomes routine and kenneling becomes fun. During the adjustment period, a fresh bowl of food will remain in front of your pet, and we will be constantly aware of his or her food consumption. We also provide daily treat giving which can provide a source of sustenance.
Law's Country Kennel feeds around the noon hour. If your pet normally eats earlier, later, or at multiple times throughout the day, we will be more than happy to accommodate you and your loved one. We try our best to keep our boarders on a similar schedule they may be accustomed to at home.
