“I’m hesitant to leave my pet with people I don’t know. How can I feel confident they’ll be well cared for?”
We understand completely! Your pet is a cherished member of your family, and trusting someone else with their care is an important decision. At Law’s Country Kennel, we believe that trust isn’t simply given—it’s earned through compassionate care, consistent communication, and positive experiences.
Since opening our doors in 1987, Law’s Country Kennel has had the privilege of caring for tens of thousands of family pets throughout northeast Indiana. Our years of experience have taught us that every pet is unique, with their own personality, preferences, and needs.
From the moment your pet arrives, our team begins building a relationship through gentle introductions, personal attention, familiar routines, and plenty of affection. We learn their names, recognize their personalities, and take time to understand what makes them comfortable. Whether it’s a favorite treat, a little extra reassurance, or simply some quiet attention, it’s the little things that help build trust and make a big difference.
Our structured daily routines also provide frequent opportunities for our team to interact with and observe each pet, allowing us to recognize changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort and respond to their individual needs.
We also believe that building trust with pet parents is just as important. We welcome questions, encourage communication, and want you to feel comfortable reaching out whenever you need reassurance about your pet’s care.
For nearly four decades, our family and team have worked to make Law’s Country Kennel a place where pets receive thoughtful, individualized care and their families enjoy genuine peace of mind.
Located in Roanoke, Indiana, we’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with generations of pets and their families, and we look forward to earning your trust, too.
“I feel guilty leaving my pet at a boarding facility. Will they be lonely or feel abandoned?”
We understand! Leaving your beloved pet in someone else’s care can be difficult, especially if it’s their first boarding experience. It’s natural to miss them and wonder how they’re adjusting. At Law’s Country Kennel, our goal is to help every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind.
A little preparation can make a big difference. We encourage you to bring familiar belongings from home, such as bedding or a favorite toy. Items carrying the familiar scent of home can provide comfort in a new environment. You’re also welcome to bring your pet’s regular food and treats. We’ll follow their established feeding schedule while introducing them to the consistent daily routines we maintain at Law’s.
Routine, compassionate care, and individual attention are at the heart of what we do. Our dedicated team understands that every pet adjusts differently. Through familiar routines, positive interactions, and opportunities for enrichment and socialization, we help each guest settle in at their own pace and enjoy their time with us.
And because we know you’ll be wondering how they’re doing, we believe communication is just as important as the care we provide.
We offer a personalized Pupdate, a report card highlighting your pet’s experience with us. Pupdates may include photos, observations about your pet’s personality and behavior, interactions with our team and other guests, eating habits, and how they settled into their accommodations. Pupdates are prepared toward the end of the stay, giving you a glimpse into the care and attention your pet received.
Pupdates are just $5 per pet, per stay, and are complimentary for new customers, boarding stays of five days or longer, and dogs staying in an Annual Membership Kennel. Simply request a Pupdate when making your reservation.
You’re also welcome to call, text, or email us during your pet’s stay. Our team will be happy to provide an update and help put your mind at ease.
At Law’s Country Kennel, we want your pet to feel like a welcomed guest, not just another boarder. While there’s no place quite like home, we’re committed to making their time away a safe, comfortable, and positive experience—and helping you feel confident about leaving them in our care.
